I will focus on aspects like page size, font choice, margins, spacing, paragraph styling, and inclusion of elements like headers, footers, page numbers, section breaks, and images. The goal of formatting is to make the book look attractive and coherent to the reader, ensuring consistency and meeting the technical requirements for self-publishing platforms or professional printers.  I work directly with the author to ensure it meets their desired branding.
